Diana Wallis MEP recently visited The Station in Richmond where she met Finance Trustee Ian Hepworth and former Trustee and Fundraiser and one of the inspirations behind the project, Donald Cline. She toured the building having a look at the wide range of services on offer and spoke to several of the business owners. The Richmond railway station project received EU money through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). At the time it was one of the largest grants ever awarded through ERDF in North Yorkshire.

Diana Wallis, who first visited the site in 2003, said:

"I am delighted to see what a fantastic facility the Station has become. It is an enormous tribute to the many people who had a vision for the near derelict building all those years ago. I see why it has become the envy of many other towns not just in North Yorkshire but across the rest of Europe too."
